Nobody is exempt from developing acne at some point in their
lives. Normally, acne occurs during adolescence, when hormones
are at their raging peak, but it can also come out and recur
during premenstrual and menopausal periods. It does not know
any race, gender, social status, lifestyle and age, so amount
of prevention, not even magic tricks can make it go away, except
maybe if your genes are all too perfect (which is one in a million).
Acne's effect is at its harshest during the teenage years, when
we are all still trying to figure out our place in society.
Because of the proliferation of advertisements and the lauding
of clear-skinned models and celebrities, people who develop
acne are likely to feel alienated and lost in the crowd. Often,
people who have acne choose not to mingle and make friends,
for fear of being criticized or, worse, laughed at by their
peers.
Tracking the numbers
According to statistics, over 50% of adults are prone to acne,
while around 90% of individuals aged 12 to 24 are susceptible.
So if you have acne, you are not alone. Almost everybody has
it. Its concentration just varies from person to person. The
key reason is genes and hormonal change. However, a person's
environment, stress and an improper diet can also lead to its
worsening.
Acne comes out when our oil glands secrete oil in excess, thereby
blocking our pores and preventing our skin from naturally cleaning
itself and breathing properly. Once the pore is plugged by the
excessive oil, blackheads,
whiteheads and eventually, pimples
develop. A hormone produced by the body called Dihydro Testosterone,
or DHT, stimulates the oil glands to expel too much oil. If
we do not reduce DHT from the skin, DHT levels could further
rise and accumulate on our skin resulting in severe acne. Although
cleansing the skin is important, the reduction of DHT will result
in the best acne
treatment and prevention.
It's also beneficial to avoid stress. A happy person has generally
better, healthier and happy skin. Besides, keeping a positive
outlook in life will not only do well against skin problems;
it also keeps your adrenaline levels and mood up throughout
the day.
Some doctors recommend frequent cleansing with substances containing
either sulfur or zinc, or eating foods rich in both. In fact,
several studies have shown that a daily dose of vitamins high
vitamin A and zinc can help keep the acne hounds at bay.
A Solution for Acne
This is why Clearogen was born. Clinically proven to combat
and reduce DHT levels, Clearogen has made its mark in the dermatologic
field as an efficient over the counter tool against the spread
of acne. How does it do so? It nips the problem at the bud and
goes directly for the root cause -- DHT hormones.
Clearogen works by controlling the production and binding of
DHT in the skin. By controlling DHT levels in the skin, the
oil glands will produce a balanced level of oil within the skin
preventing the clogging of the pore. This provides the healthiest
environment for the oil gland while preventing acne formation.
Made of natural botanical ingredients, Clearogen is the first
of its kind to thwart acne at the first sign of development.
Not only does it prevent
acne but the powerful natural ingredients calm acne and
irritated skin to bring out the healthy appearance of every
skin type. Therefore, don't fear. There really is no need to
bawl over having acne. A solution does exist -- and for the
long term. Simply ask your dermatologist or local pharmacist
about it.
