Question:
hi doctor alex, i just have a few questions about my face skin that i hope i can fix without cosmetic surgery. i have worked out in an oil refinery for the past 6 months and my face has become in such terrible shape. i know alots sun damage and probably the unhealthy air but this is whats goin on. my pores look really dirty i use neutragina acne wash to cleanse my face. ive tried a few deep pore cleaners and my face broke out with pimples. what can i clean my pores with? plus my top layer is just damaged from the outdoor elements. will a microdermabrasion kit help and does the ones you buy in stores really work good? i just really want to avoid spending a ton of money on cosmetic surgery. also when i do get pimples they are always in the same spot and are huge how can i keep them from coming back?? and finally, the dark circles under my eyes have gotten bad i always look tired make up just aint covering these babies up. im only 24 and look 30, i used to have great fresh skin until i worked at that refinery and i want it back…help
Dear Rebecca,
Your skin is certainly damaged as you described here. You need to have a professional microderm abrasion to remove the damaged skin and the impurities clogging your pores and allow your skin to renew itself. The microderm abrasion kits sold in stores are not strong enough and not used properly by individuals who don’t know how it is properly used. Also some use it to often further damaging their skin and complicating the situation. You should leave the care of your skin to professionals to get the best results with the least complications and overall cost.
Once you have cleared your skin you can use Clearogen to keep your skin clean and acne free. As for the dark circles we have a product named Rejuve MD that works very well for this issue. At this time you can only purchase it if you come to my office in Encino, California but it will become widely available by the end of the year.
