Enlarged, Clogged Pores

Name: Melissa
Question:

Hi,
I’ve read everything on the website about clearogen regarding acne, but what about clearing up clogged pores? I don’t have many breakouts just clogged pores located along my chin, jawline, facial areas by the nose, and of cours my nose. I’ve tried every product and it seems that after a while I become breakouts become immune to the product so I’m constantly switching. I think this is due to hormones. I read one of the testimonials and the person stated they polycystic ovarian syndrome. I believe I have that because my breakouts are very stubborn and my skin is oily. I take preventative measures for my skin but every morning I wake up with more breakouts. Right now I’m using the Murad acne complex which is helping with the breakouts but I haven’t noticed my face becoming as clear as I want. I’m thinking of switching my skincare again since I’ve been using the Murad acne complex about 2 months. I would like the good doctor’s opinion about the Murad complex as I’m fairly interested in making skincare my career. If possible please have Dr. Khadavi respond to my e-mail.

Dear Melissa,

The clogging of your pores is due to the overactivity of the oil glands (sebaceous glands). That is why you have oily skin along with clog pores. If you inhibit the activity of the sebaceous gland by reducing the level of DHT, then you will not overproduce sebum that will clog the pore. Clearogen reduces the activity of the sebaceous gland by inhibiting DHT and therefore prevent clogging the pore.
