I have surfed many a question but haven’t come across my query. I work with skin & love the idea of blocking DHT for acne but–
I understand Benzoyl Peroxide to bleach a pillow case – meaning a very harsh chemical on skin – why is this ingredient included (slow released or not – even at a low %) as opposed to say tea tree oil.

Dear Hazel,
Over 8% of the population has an allergic reaction to tea trea oil. Benzoyl Peroxide is very effective in killing the bacteria that promotes acne.
