previous sensitivity to BP

Name: Dee
Question:

I’m an MD and find your product very interesting in that it seems to localize anti-DHT action at the skin—about time someone developed a non-oral route of delivery. I have contended with breakouts over the years, most recently with breastfeeding and then with the discontinuation of this (so likely a hormonal component at play). I’m interested in trying Clearogen, however in the past whenever I have tried a benzoyl peroxide formulation, I get a sensitivity reaction consisting of a gooseflesh like rash that only disappears a couple of days after discontinuing BP. The form of BP used was gel. Since I am not a dermatologist, I’d like your opinion on whether you think this would happen with the Clearogen lotion since it does contain some BP.
Thanks,
D.G., MD

Dear Dr. Dee,
You may have had an irritant contact dermatitis and not an allergic contact dermatitis which is more prevalent with high concentrations of BP or gel formulations. You may want to try Clearogen for some time to view the benefits and see if it irritates your skin. Clearogen is guaranteed so if not satisfied you may return it. Please keep me updated on your progress.
