Topical only?

Name: Ollie White
Question:

When i read a summary of this kit it really does sound interesting a totally different, in a good way to any of the other acne kits. But when on the main homepage I see that the kit consists of only topical treatment. I have now slightly lost interest as I find it pretty unlikely that the root cause of acne can be prevented through topical treatments?

Dear Ollie,

The misconception about affecting acne causing hormones is that it should be done using an oral medication or supplements. The fact is that these hormones specially DHT are actually produced within the individual cells of the oil glands in the skin and the most effective way to reach them is direct application of a topical treatment to the skin.

When one takes an oral medication or supplement the active ingredients are simply scattered all over the body as they get dissolved in the blood and pumped throughout the body. As such only a small percentage of the active ingredients reach the target while the rest reach the other organs and tissues causing unwanted side effects.

Unlike other organs that are no directly available skin is the most readily available organ and can be treated directly. This way the maximum amount of the actives reach the target and only a small amount reaches the systemic blood and other organs. Since the hormones causing acne are produced in the oil glands, topical applications would be the best and most effective way of addressing them without inhibiting their benefits elsewhere in the body.
