Acne Treatment - Clearogen

hydrogen peroxide instead of benzoyl peroxide

Name: F.E.
Question:

I was getting really good results while using the Clearogen system. My back, chest and face really cleared up with only a few blemishes occurring.

I saw an infomercial for the Murad treatment and wanted to see if it would be better than Clerogen. I started to use it and my back broke out again and my face broke out with painful cysts.

The Murad system has hydrogen peroxide in it instead of benzoyl peroxide and says that this is less irritating and that all the other ingredients help the skin to heal.

What happened to my skin?

Is it bad to switch from one brand to another?

Why do these companies say a breakout occurs initially as a cleansing effect and shows the product is working?

Why is Clearogen not shown on infomercials? It should be because people tend to associate effectiveness with the testimonials they see and hear on tv more than what they read on the Clearogen site.

Dear FE,

The difference of Clearogen with other products is not Benzoyl Peroxide vs. Hydrogen Peroxide, etc. It is our use of natural ingredients that block DHT the main cause of acne. The reason most acne treatments don't work is that they only try to address the symptoms instead of the underlying cause.

There are many hurdles including regulatory, financial and legal issues that need to be worked out before we can sell Clearogen on TV. We are working on these issues at this time.
