I've been using the Clearogen system for 13 days on my extremely oily skin with cystic acne. I noticed an improvement after the first few days, but then my skin began to flake and peel, particularly around my mouth. I substituted my normal oil control moisturizer for Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion, which has taken care of the dryness. However, I now have five new nodules that are so painful they are keeping me up at night. Ibuprofen isn't even making a dent in the pain or swelling. What do you recommend? Should I start using the system twice a day? Use a different moisturizer? Or just tough it out and see what happens? Thanks!

Since the new bumps starting occurring when you switched moisturizers then something that is in it is probably causing them. Stop using the new moisturizer and see if that helps with the bumps. Continue to use the Clearogen and just cut back on the toner since you were drying out too much. Please keep us updated on your progress.
