I've dealt with acne since 6th grade. I am now 32. I don't have severe scarring but I have a least one zit all the time. It has never been severe enough to justify accutane but I would pay anything to make it all just go away. I hate to look at myself in the mirror when I'm not wearing makeup. I have used oral meds (tetracyclene, minocyclene, spironalactone) and nothing really helped. The spironalactone did help some but my potassium levels were causing some side effects. I've been using Proactiv for years but it has never delivered the promised results. A friend at the medi spa thinks my acne is hormonal. It's on my chin, around my lips and on my jawline. I've had Levulin Treaments with Clearlight over the past year, minimal results. Recently tried Dermasweep and a new cleasing system called Skin Medica. I have more new breakouts that are very painful. I don't know what else to do. I need a miracle.
