The clearogen system is helping my daughter; however, her dermatologist prescribed Retin-A (Avita) to help with hyperpigmentation that remains.
I have read that benzoyl peroxide and Retin-A will neutralize each other when used together.
Sice the clearogen system contains benzoyl peroxide and it is in time-released form, can the Retin-A be used in the AM and be effective?
The new Retin-A Micro is a time released form of Retin-A. Since the benzoyl peroxide is also time released, it seems to me that it would not be the best choice when using clearogen products.
Please advise.
Thanks,
F. E.
Dear Flo,
You may use Clearogen and Retin-A together but must wait 30 minutes before placing the Retin-A after Clearogen Lotion nightly. Retin-A and Benzoyl Peroxide will neutralize one-another if place in a bottle together. It becomes less of a concern when the products are placed on the skin seperately and specially when benzoyl peroxide is time release.
